L’IC Migrations accueille Tiziana Caponio

Tiziana Caponio est profes­seure asso­ciée au dépar­te­ment des cultures, de la poli­tique et de la société de l’uni­ver­sité de Turin et membre du Collegio Carlo Alberto et du FIERI. Elle enseigne les sciences poli­tiques et les dyna­miques et poli­tiques migra­toires. Elle a été Marie Curie Fellow au Migra­tion Policy Centre (EUI, Fiesole, 2018–2020) et a été copré­si­dente du Comité perma­nent de l’IMISCOE sur « Migra­tion Poli­tics and Gover­nance » (www​.imiscoe​.org) entre 2019 et 2022. Actuel­le­ment, elle est PI du projet de recherche Whole-COMM, » Explo­ring the inte­gra­tion of post-2014 migrants in small and medium-sized towns and rural areas from a whole-of-commu­nity pers­pec­tive « , financé par le programme Horizon2020 de la Commis­sion européenne.

Ses recherches portent sur les poli­tiques migra­toires et les processus d’éla­bo­ra­tion des poli­tiques dans une pers­pec­tive de gouver­nance à plusieurs niveaux, avec une atten­tion parti­cu­lière au rôle des muni­ci­pa­lités et à leurs inter­ac­tions avec les gouver­ne­ments supra­na­tio­naux et natio­naux d’une part, et avec les ONG et les orga­ni­sa­tions de la société civile d’autre part. Tiziana Caponio, Ph.D. in Poli­tical Science, is Asso­ciate Professor at the Depart­ment of Cultures, Poli­tics and Society of the Univer­sity of Turin, fellow at Collegio Carlo Alberto and FIERI. She teaches Poli­tical Sciences and Dyna­mics and Poli­cies of Migra­tion. She has been Marie Curie Fellow at the Migra­tion Policy Centre (EUI, Fiesole, 2018–2020) and served as co-chair of the IMISCOE Stan­ding Committee on “Migra­tion Poli­tics and Gover­nance” (www​.imiscoe​.org) between 2019 and 2022. Currently, she is PI of the Research Project Whole-COMM, ‘Explo­ring the inte­gra­tion of post-2014 migrants in small and medium-sized towns and rural areas from a whole-of-commu­nity pers­pec­tive,’ funded by the Horizon2020 Programme of the Euro­pean Commission.

Her research inter­ests regard migra­tion policy and poli­cy­ma­king processes in a multi­level gover­nance pers­pec­tive, with a specific atten­tion to the role of muni­ci­pa­li­ties and their inter­ac­tions with supra-national and national govern­ments on the one hand, and with NGOs and civil society orga­ni­sa­tion on the other.
